Seeking actors for a staged-reading of The Day’s Night by Rana Sajjadi with the Jersey City (USA) Theatre Center! Limited rehearsals based on actors availability and leaning more towards zoom meetings. The performance is on May 18th with time TBD. Pay is $50 total for Union and $30 total for Non-Union. All proceeds go to theatre as a fundraiser.
Cast Breakdown below: MAN (male presenting) : A man in his 40s. He loves controlling everything and everyone but has weaknesses that is causing him severe trauma. No one in this house can look at his eyes. WOMAN (female presenting): A woman in her late 30s. She enjoys satisfying everyone and tries to avoid any sort of tension among others. Usually, she obeys MAN but is on the verge of explosion. BOY (male presenting): A boy in his early 20s. He is looking for a change that would make everyone specially himself happy. He thinks he is so brave but in fact he mostly talks about taking revolutionary actions. He hates MAN but cares for WOMAN and mostly GIRL. GIRL (female presenting): A girl in her early 20s. She seems stupid but in fact she’s the only one who knows how to survive and find happiness even in the worst situations.
