Hi there!

casting for a short film that we will shoot in early to mid-November (exact dates TBD) in Austin. This will be a  3 day shoot.

Title: Self-Help
The story: After surviving a suicide attempt, a man embarks on a path to recovery, but must face his inner self to overcome his intrusive thoughts.

This dark psychological drama follows the main character’s battle with mental health, ultimately leading to a confrontation with an alternate version of himself that appears inside his television.

CHARACTERS

Thomas (lead)
Description:
-early-mid 30s male, Caucasian
-He feels lost and uncertain about how to move forward. Defeated, he struggles with the return of suicidal thoughts, unsure if he has the strength to overcome them.
-This actor will portray both Thomas and his alternate self. The alternate isn’t depicted as a split personality or a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde type. He begins as charming and friendly, but as the film progresses, his words and actions grow increasingly darker.
