CASTING CALL
OVER THE LIMIT
Shoot info: One day shoot filming in Bristol – Aiming for 31st January or 1st February.
BRIAN – Playing Age – 21-26
Brian is truly trying his best to fit in but just can’t figure it out, clearly nervous but trying to play it cool (and failing). Sticking out like a sore thumb in the family already, his request for salt simply emphasises this.
RICHARD (Father) – Playing Age – 45-55
Richard is a very stern and protective father and isn’t too sure about Brian. He has a very serious demeanour and it solidifies his unapproving opinion of Brian when he asks for the salt.
SARAH (Daughter) – Playing Age – 21-26
Sarah is a polite girl who has been nervous about Brian meeting the family, not because of who he is, but because of how her father acts. She knows it’ll take a lot to impress him so is devastated when Brian messes up. As she was already on edge, she ends up bursting into tears over the event, truly mortified at what has happened.
CAROLINE (Mother) – Playing Age – 45-55
Caroline is completely on Brian’s side and has wanted to meet him for ages. She begins the advert being very happy, smiling at Sarah hinting how pleased she is. But after he makes his mistake, she looks disappointed in the situation, and worries how her husband may react.

Daniel
Character Description:
Male, Caucasian, early to mid 30s.
After graduating high school, Daniel moved out of his small hometown in hopes of getting a better opportunity to make something of himself. He was a good kid, never really got into trouble, and was seen as one of the more popular kids. Daniel is now a disheveled man, a shell of his former self, that has had an extremely hard life. Being beat down by a variety of circumstances, he now turns to a life of crime. Although he is pushed to these extreme measures, there is still something deep down in him that is holding onto his former self.
Jessie
Character Description
Female, Caucasian, early to mid 30s.
In high school, Jessie was smart, funny, and very laid back. She didn’t have any grand ideas for what she wanted to do with herself after graduating and wanted to live a calm, relaxed life in her small hometown. She doesn’t overly focus on her looks, but she is beautiful enough to make people wonder why she has stayed as a waitress at the local diner all these years. Jessie has had hardships, as many people do, but has chosen to face things head on and do what is right.
