Main Characters:
MARK( AN AUTISTIC ADULT) : A young neurodivergent male, mid-20’s. Hopelessly optimistic, shy, reserved and a little stubborn, he struggles to feel comfortable in social situations. Seeking ASD and neurodivergent actors.
LEEA: A young woman, mid 20s. She is joyful, genuine, honest and a social person. (europeen accent). She does not understand English and communicates with gestures.
BOSS: An old Italian-American man, 40s to 50s. He’s at first nice and funny but is appropriate. He’s then unrespectful and acts like a jerk.
SMALL ROLES
LITTLE GIRL (10-15 years old) : Innocent, honest. She’s too young to understand disability. (available for one day)
MOTHER OF LITTLE GIRL (35-50) : Protector of her granddaughter. She had a bad experience with her autistic brother and does not want her daughter to go near Mark. (available for one day)
BARISTA (mid 20s)
A cool, young and optimistic female works as a barista in a coffee shop. She understands Mark deeply.

SAXOPHONIST ( with his saxophone if possible), male, all age.
Skills can play saxophone.
TROMBONIST (with his trombone possible also), male, all age.
Skills can play trombone.
EXTRAS (some lines)

Roles:
Open to any race and gender for all roles – our goal is to have a diverse ensemble. All talent must be 21+ which is required by the venue.
Sister Mary Katherine (30-60):
Mischievous yet devout nun. Ability to portray a playful yet dignified presence.
The Pimp(25-50):
Larger-than-life personality, confident and flamboyance. This can range from Sho Nuff as a pimp to Lady Gaga in drag as a pimp or anything in between. Let’s set a new bar for Keep Austin Weird!
Alien (21+):
This role requires physical expressiveness and the ability to create an out-of-this-world character. This character might wear a mask unless you’re a real alien.
Demon (21+):
Exudes a malevolent charm. With horns polished to a deadly gleam and a grin that could curdle milk, the embodiment of fearsome allure. All body types are welcome, but be comfortable in your skin as the wardrobe is potentially shirtless (nipple covers will be used for female bodies).
Mobster (21+):
Commands respect, a figure of authority who brooks no nonsense. They carry an air of lethal intent that’s palpable. With a gaze as sharp as a switchblade, they could snuff out life with just a look.
