Casting for an upcoming horror/documentary series titled “Surviving La Llorona”. The series, produced by Harrow House Films, will retell stories from individuals who have encountered the mythical character of La Llorona in their lives.

Character Breakdown: Caucasian man, 40+.

Actor will be playing a fishing enthusiast and re-enact the story of how he saw La Llorona.

Shooting Dates : 18 March- 23 March 2023
Location: Manhattan (USA)
Main Characters:
MARK( AN AUTISTIC ADULT) : A young neurodivergent male, mid-20’s. Hopelessly optimistic, shy, reserved and a little stubborn, he struggles to feel comfortable in social situations. Seeking ASD and neurodivergent actors.
LEEA: A young woman, mid 20s. She is joyful, genuine, honest and a social person. (europeen accent). She does not understand English and communicates with gestures.
BOSS: An old Italian-American man, 40s to 50s. He’s at first nice and funny but is appropriate. He’s then unrespectful and acts like a jerk.
SMALL ROLES
LITTLE GIRL (10-15 years old) : Innocent, honest. She’s too young to understand disability. (available for one day)
MOTHER OF LITTLE GIRL (35-50) : Protector of her granddaughter. She had a bad experience with her autistic brother and does not want her daughter to go near Mark. (available for one day)
BARISTA (mid 20s)
A cool, young and optimistic female works as a barista in a coffee shop. She understands Mark deeply.
(available for one day).
SAXOPHONIST ( with his saxophone if possible), male, all age.
Skills can play saxophone.
TROMBONIST (with his trombone possible also), male, all age.
Skills can play trombone.
EXTRAS (some lines)
Looking for people of all ages, genders, and ethnicities who are available in the NYC
PASSERS-BY to give life to the busy street of wall street, coffee shop and an Italian restaurant.
VARIOUS EXTRAS REQUIRED. No experience required
