I want to share a job opportunity teaching film and video. For those with a bachelors degree wanting to have a school calendar work schedule.

Job: Communication Arts Magnet Teacher

Why is this job so cool?: First of all it’s a magnet program, so the students in your class applied to it and have an interested in learning all about film production.

Perks: This year the school will have a fully remodeled TV studio, with state of the art brand new professional equipment. Cameras, pedestals, lighting, sound mixer, video switcher, etc. It will be truly awesome.

What you’ll teach: All about film/video production, and broadcast news.
The school has an internal weekly broadcast news that you’ll coordinate.

You’ll be provided a curriculum, but you’ll have the opportunity to modify, add, remove based on what you consider to be the best learning sequence.

Main requirements: Bachelor’s Degree, and experience in film or TV.
If you don’t have a teaching certification, you can discuss options with the principal
during the interview.
