Character Breakdown:
Stan: Over fifty, nerdish, computer multi-millionaire. Recently divorced by his much younger wife, who took off with the pool boy and $30 million richer, Stan is OVER eager  to find the next misses right. He is a computer programming wiz, HUGE Lord of the Rings fan, and oblivious to what “women” want. After  many failed attempts at dating, mostly due to his desire to move way too fast, Stan decides to give online dating a try by the suggestion of his best friend Dave.

Dave: Over fifty, Stan’s friend and Chief Operating Office of Stan’s company. Believing to know what women want, Dave pushes Stan to give online dating a try. He assures his friend that he will guide him through the process. His advice is horrible, but his intentions are good.

Cheryl (Cast): Over fifty, professional businesswoman. Cheryl is a widow with two adult children. She hasn’t been in the dating scene “since the ice age.” At the behest of her friend, Lori, Cheryl attempts online dating. Down to earth, and independent, Cheryl reluctantly begins the process. She’s looking for someone who is honest, caring, and doesn’t always talk themselves.

Lori (Cast): Over fifty, Cheryl’s best friend. Fun loving, Lori urges her friend to get out there and find happiness. Confident in herself and her advice

Meadow Stewart (Female, 15-20) Description: Meadow is a resilient young woman who is hard of hearing. Despite facing adversity, she possesses a strong will and determination. Meadow’s journey is central to the film’s narrative, and her character undergoes significant growth.  Requirements: Ability to portray resilience, vulnerability, and emotional depth. Fluency in sign language preferred.
Jason (Male, 25-40) Description: Jason is a troubled character with a history of heavy drug abuse. At times intimidating and intense. He experiences a transformative journey throughout the film, struggling with his emotions and seeking redemption.  Requirements: Ability to portray depth, physicality, and emotional turmoil. Willingness to explore challenging themes.  Similar Actor Reference: Aaron Paul’s performance on “Breaking Bad”
Sarah Stewart (Female, 45-65) Description:  Sarah starts as a passive-aggressive and meek character but evolves into a more emboldened individual as the story progresses. She is well-intentioned but struggles with enabling her son, Jason.  Requirements: Ability to portray a range of emotions, from meekness to strength.. Similar Actress Reference: Mary Steenburgen
Eddie (Male, 25-35) Description: Eddie is a manipulative, handsome, and cocky character who disrupts Jason’s attempts at rehabilitation. His presence leads Jason to relapse into destructive behaviors. Requirements: Ability to portray manipulation, charisma, and cockiness.
Maddy Stewart (Female, 25-35)  Description: Maddy Stewart is a complex character with maternal instincts and a troubled past. Despite her rough exterior, she deeply cares for her daughter, Meadow, and is fiercely protective. Maddy’s presence leaves a lasting impact on the emotional landscape of the story. Requirements: Ability to portray depth, maternal instincts, and emotional complexity. Important supporting role with significant impact on the narrative.
Warren (Male, 18-25) Description: Warren initially presents himself as warm and caring but later reveals a manipulative and controlling side. He becomes desperate to possess Meadow, leading to a tumultuous relationship. Requirements: Ability to portray warmth, manipulation, and emotional intensity.
