Canarys casting call:

The Manchester film school are casting for a short student film in March and will be in Manchester

Dixie:
An Australian, friendly Karen Inn keeper (a second-choice career after her writing didn’t take off) who is housing James and Melissa and wants to help them stay. All whilst sporting a sour face that is tired and stressed.

Looking for an actor who can play around the 30’s of any gender who can look older than stated and is preferably got a bigger frame. Key characteristics are failed academic, charismatic and cunning.
Melissa:
A prim, proper blonde daddy’s girl who is the opposite to James (who is forced to be friends with her as the only other fugitive).

Looking for an early twenties actor with a pale complexion and blonde hair who is preferably on the slimmer side. Key characteristics are daddy’s girl, snooty and intelligent.
James:
A gormless ex-navy boy with bad posture who does harness some intelligence yet doesn’t really know how to use it. Is the only male counterpart in the trio and seems to need to talk about his navy past which he seems to think he remembers he did excellently in, despite the truth.

Looking for and actor who can play mid-twenties (ideally 26) with a pale complexion. Preferably not muscular (either slim or chubby) and has a buzz cut. Key characteristics are gormless, slobbish and airhead.
