FATHER- mid-fifties weathered, sorrowful eyes, stolid yet deeply emotional. Struggles to confront wife’s death, finds solace in painting her art room.

SON – late twenties – emotionally resilient yet deeply affected by his father’s grief. Tries to encourage his father to move on from his wife’s death.

MUM – mid-fifties – a presence felt throughout the narrative despite her absence. Described through memories and remnants of her art.
