Paid Casting Call for Theatre Show at Malvern Cube March 2023!
Arts Uplift CIC is looking for 3 paid actors for their theatre show Suitcase Stories (working title) a magical tale of living with dementia. It is a mix of professional and a community cast (25 people). The roles are:

GRAHAM – 40’s/50’s trying to balance caring for his mother with work and kids. Generally, a little frazzled and struggling with the dynamic.
LOUISE 40’s/50’s into personal development and finding her centre, chatty
MAGPIE – a talking bird that counsels Margaret on her dementia. Extremely clever, playful, rude, challenging, a bit of a trickster. Think Dr Who.

Fees:
£600 per week
Accommodation and food £311.20 per week
Travel £110
Auditions at the MAC Birmingham (UK) 10 January 2023

Looking for actor:
• of Eastern European heritage
• interest in devising
• strong musicality and instrumental skills
• LGBTQ+ due to the themes explored

Auditions: 7th July (time tbc)
Rehearsals: 26th July – 12th August
Performances: 14-17th August, 7.30pm
