LYL’s Production is casting a new series entitled, “Two Men and a Goat.”

Concept: “After a man’s wife passes, he must find a roommate to cover the expensive rent in New York. He finds the perfect roommate, but that perfect roommate brings along a surprise… “A Goat!”

We are casting for the following roles:

Joe Boone: (Age 40-50, Caucasian, Male)

Joe is the widow of his wife, Marcy. Joe works at the New York State Agency, and is a hard devoted worker. Joe has been off of the dating scene since his wife’s passing two years ago. Joe is also in his mid-40s. Joe has a temper problem and is required to take anger management classes by his boss.

Mickey Dingbat: (Age 40-50, Caucasian, Male)

Mickey is the roommate of Joe. Mickey works as a chef at a soup house and owns a goat. Mickey is also in his mid-40s and wants to one day own his own restaurant, but doesn’t have the ends meat to start a business. Mickey is more laid back and relaxed. He realizes life isn’t fair.

Supporting Roles

Mary Ann: (Age 40-50, Caucasian, Female)

Mary is Joe’s personal assistant and best friend for nearly fifteen years. Mary has been married and divorced seven times. Mary refuses to ever get married again. Mary is a horrible singer and tends to steal food from the break room. Mary believes Joe should start back dating.

Richard Dick: (Age 40 -50, Caucasian, Male)

Steve is Joe’s annoying boss at the agency. Richard’s last name is Dick for a reason. Richard is obnoxious and makes very judgmental remarks. Richard once had an alcohol addiction, and has been sober for six months.

ELIZABETH
FEMALE/AGE: 18-24
With a cascade of vibrant, wavy hair and eyes filled with dreams, she embodies youthful hope. Her fair skin easily flushes with emotion. She carries herself with a mix of innocent charm and latent defiance. The freckles on her face seem to be a testament to the many days she’s spent outdoors. She’s at the precipice of womanhood, trying to navigate her path amidst societal expectations.

MRS ANDERSON
FEMALE/AGE 40-50
The epitome of societal decorum and tradition. Her hair, always pulled into a tight bun, mirrors her equally stringent views on life and morality. Every line on her face tells a tale of sacrifices, commitment to family, and years of conforming to societal expectations. Her posture is upright, but her hands, worn from years of work and care, show her dedication to her family. While she is seen as stern and often inflexible, there are sometimes moments of softness.

MR ANDERSON
MALE/AGE 40-50
His rugged face reflects a life of responsibility and hard work. Greying hair frames his face. He’s a stern man but oblivious, clueless and uninterested by anything that’s going on around him.
