Shoot November 1-3 in New York. Pays $300/day. Travel and lodging covered for out-of-town talent.

Logline: Living and working alone in the Bay Area in the early 2000s, a young father has only a single 1000-minute phone card to stay connected with his wife and kids while he awaits the tedious immigration process to relocate his family to America.

Character Breakdown:
Andy: 28-35, East Asian, Male. A software engineer who has recently immigrated to the Bay Area in pursuit of the American Dream. With the dot-com bubble on the verge of bursting, he faces immense pressure and isolation, missing his wife and two young sons, who remain in Taiwan. Thoughtful, introspective, and deeply committed to his family, but the loneliness of being separated from them is wearing him down. His only solace comes from the limited, precious minutes he spends on the phone with them each day. MUST BE MANDARIN NATIVE SPEAKER. A Taiwanese accent is preferred but not required.
