Cast Call

GASP is about Aya, a 25-year-old queer and  muslim photographer trying to carve out a somewhat niche path while fighting cultural expectations with the help of mischievous friends.

DJAKA(Black/ Dark-skin): Opinionated best friend  to Aya, who’s a nurse with a passionate for  beauty. Actor must be able to play a range from 20-35.

Tara: (Mixed-Black/Asian): College best friend of Aya, who’s a writer with a passion for race relations. Actor must be able to range from 20-35.

Aissatou (Black): Aya’s mother and owner of company salon. Actor must be able to able to playa range from 40-60.

Camille (Black): Djaka best friend from college and third member of friend group. Actor must be able to able to playa range from

Derek (Black):Aya’s on and off again boyfriend. Actor must be able to play a range from 25-30.

HAWA(Black): One of Aissatou’s stylist and right  hand woman. Actor must be able to play ages  20-40

Nana (Black): Hawa’s sneaky daughter. Actor must be able to play ages 18-25

Aissatou (Black): Aya’s mother and owner of the community salon. Actor must be able to play a ages 35-50
