Lauren is the partner of the recently deceased Samuel, who she shares a child with and now must juggle being a young mother with the immense weight of her grief.

ALFIE RICHARDS:

Alfie is a man from a working-class background in the south of England and is the childhood friend of Edward. For the last few years, he has only seen him at their local pub. He and Tom have stayed friends with him almost as an obligation and only meet for catchups every couple
of weeks.

TOM SUTHERFIELD:
Aged 24-28
Tom is a man from a working-class background in his mid-20s and is the childhood friend of Edward. For the last few years, he has only really seen him when they’ve gone for drinks at their local pub.
