Session Fee:  $750/10 hours, fitting $75

This is an awareness campaign featuring a real nurse talking about MS.  There will be a long video (around 10 mins) and a shorter one and the nurse will have to be great at teleprompter. 

Woman, 35-50 or so, Any Ethnicity
Real Nurse with acting skills. Female.

CASTING CALL

Format: A 15 minute student short film

Genre: Comedy, Coming of age, Drama

Character: Emily Wilcox
A pretty, strong minded but naive 18-year-old who is optimistic for her future. She is the sheltered, only child of traditional parents, Jim and Mary Wilcox,
who still view her as their precious baby. She is currently enjoying the ‘honeymoon’ phase of her relationship with Leon and can barely contain her excitement of moving in with him. Having been spoilt, and protected, as a child, she is navigating the exciting beginning of adulthood and yearns for the freedom it will offer her. Like Leon, she does not understand her parents’ objections to her moving out and will rebel against them until she gets her own way.

Physical Requirements: White English female, slim build, average height

Age range: Late teens to early twenties

Character: Leon Cooper
An impulsive, suave, and trendy 21-year-old who aspires to become a fashion designer. He is Emily’s boyfriend, the daughter of traditional parents Jim and Mary Wilcox, and is planning on moving out with her to begin their next chapter in a new home. Considering Emily’s sheltered upbringing, her parents are very against this idea, his trendiness and his people-pleasing attitude. Leon’s non-traditional image of masculinity causes Jim to feel emasculated and insecure in his presence. Leon is blinded by his own optimism and rarely comes up against anyone who doesn’t like him, making him oblivious to the Wilcox parents’ concerns. Despite his fashionable and care-free demeanour, he cares deeply about his girlfriend, Emily, and is desperate to win her parents over.

Physical Requirements: White or ethnic male, skinny, tall.
