CASTING CALL

Location: San Diego

Roles Available:

– Grandmother (Female, 60s-70s)
– Grandfather (Male, 60s-70s)
– Mother (Female, 30s-40s) 
– Father (Male, 30s-40s) 
– Child (Male or Female, 8-14 years old)

Character Description:

– Grandmother/Grandfather: Warm, loving, and joyful; experienced actors with natural, relatable energy. Must be comfortable with light physical action (e.g., hugging, helping set  the table, interacting with the child).
 
– Mother/Father: Loving parents, warm, and relatable. Should embody the feeling of a modern, happy family. Comfortable with light dialogue and interaction with other family members.
 
– Child: Energetic and playful with a natural ability to interact with the other family members in a charming way. No acting experience necessary, but comfort in front of the camera is a plus.

SARAH (Daughter of the Anti-Hero)
Female, early twenties. Sarah has been through a lot in life and is emotionally complex. Must be able to cry on cue.DORIS & FRED (SARAH’S CRAPPY FOSTER PARENTS)
60s, dower, rich-looking people. They are hosting a cocktail party and should look high-society. Doris in an evening dress, Fred in a suit.

SAM (SARAH’S EX-HUSBAND)

Male, early twenties or early 30s. A bro-y, jock-ish type, who’s seen drinking beer on his front yard with his buddies. The key is that he’s unlikable just by looking at him.

SAM’S DRINKING BUDDIES

Male, early 20s or 30s. Same “bro-y” or “jock” vibe as Sam.
Mafia Goons
Male, 20s and up. Tough, intimidating guys in suits or tracksuits. Must look like they belong in the mafia.
