[Vince] 18, high school senior, a pretentious but lovable “Outsider” who might wear fingerless gloves unironically. (Actors older than 18 who can play younger are preferred.)

[Mr. Kaiser] late 30’s-early 40’s, an affable but burnt-out high school teacher in the throes of a mid-life crisis.

[Mrs. Kathy] late 30’s, school secretary, a bubbly, filterless, social butterfly who mans the school’s front desk with flair. She is ready to drop a juicy piece of gossip at the first opportunity.

Casting for a table read for an upcoming crime/drama/mystery feature film, ‘Klara’s Box’,

ROLES:

KLARA (Female/30s/White) – A resilient woman in her 30s, grappling with grief and financial struggles after her father’s mysterious death. Forced to leave grad school, she accepts a business offer from a family friend, only to be pulled into a dangerous  world linked to her father’s murder. LEAD.

JAKE MITCHELL (Male, 40s/ White / European Descent) – A former undercover cop in his 40’s who, haunted by guilt over his role in Klara’s father’s death, shadows her when she gets involved with Vasyly. Determined to make amends, Jake warns Klara about Vasyly’s true nature and becomes her ally, helping her uncover secrets and seek justice. LEAD

RICARDO / MYSTERIOUS CALLER (Male, 40s, Latino / Hispanic) – two separate roles:

Ricardo – Vasyly’s assertive right-hand man, known for his efficient and ruthless approach. Loyal to Vasyly, Ricardo resents Klara for interfering and aggressively defends their illicit operations. His confrontational attitude adds significant tension to Klara’s quest for justice. SUPPORTING

Mysterious Caller – a cryptic voice with a strong Mexican accent on the other end of the line, delivering three impactful lines. EXTRA (VO)
