DANIEL LEEDS
Mid to late 50s white male to play two ages: 38 and 63, Anglo Saxon or northern European look, tall, lean, angular, grey haired. A former Royal surveyor and the patriarch of a large family, he is severe, stubborn, and driven by a fragile vanity. Excommunicated from the church, shunned by his fellow Quakers, and relentlessly mocked by Benjamin Franklin for his astrological writings, he is resentful, vengeful, and hungry to regain any scrap of power or status he once had. MOTHER LEEDS
42, white female, Anglo Saxon or northern European look, a natural beauty. As the Leeds matriarch she has cared for all her children equally, as each is its own blessing, and has instilled in them good morals and virtues. Her world is shaken irreparably when her thirteenth pregnancy takes a tragic and sinister turn. English accent. $200/day plus travel and housing. The role works on 6/1 and 6/2.
CRONE
70s or older white female, Dutch, wizened with long grey or white hair. A remnant of the old Dutch colonies, she lives in an earthen lair in the woods and is called upon for use of her sinister powers. Daniel Leeds goes to her to conjure a demon to exact revenge on Benjamin Franklin. Old Dutch accent. $200/day plus travel and housing. BENJAMIN FRANKLIN
27, white male. The founding father and renowned polymath as a witty, cunning, and egotistical young man. In his escalating almanac rivalry with the Leedses, he goes from publicly mocking them to conspiring to have Titan killed. Please look up images of young Benjamin Franklin, as preference will be given to actors with a resemblance. $200/day plus travel and housing. The role works on 6/2.
ASSASSIN
40s to mid 50s white male, weathered, scruffy, oily, scarred. A cunning and sinister assassin who meets an untimely end. English with a Cockney dialect. Early 20s to play 18, white female, Anglo Saxon or northern European look, a natural beauty full of youth and vitality.
