Max’s mum: aged 30-60, female. A comically optimistic and cheery woman acts as a foil to her nihilstic son.

Uncle Martin: Max’s mum’s brother aged 25+, male.

Gavin: middle aged, male. Optimistic, west-country accent, all round happy chappy.

June: middle aged, Gavin’s partner, equally as optimistic and bubbly.

Brian: 25+, male, pub owner, optimistic.
