A woman whose beauty shaves ten-years off. She’s been here just as long as the mayor has.

The Filmmaker-18-20, Black, M
Mars Blackmon doppelganger (glasses, hat and all). The neighborhood documentarian who always has a camera in tow. Today he’s decided to document a “day at the park.”

Skater-18-20, F
An edgy and confident skater showing off her tricks doing a 360 ollie.

Basketball guy-17-20
Could’ve been a player for the AND1 Mixtape Tour, but right now is showing his skills by tearing up this inner city court with all the finesse and showmanship of a Harlem Globetrotter.

Teenager-17-19, Latino, M
His multicolored hair matches his eclectic outfit. He has dreams of being the next J. Balvin or Bad Bunny and his swagger exudes theirs.

Teenager-17-19, Black, M
Destined to be the next great music producer. His beats are fire and his clothes are eye-catching. Him and the other kid work on a song together.

Barber-Late 20s, F
Her fresh cut can put any of the fellas to shame. She cuts a little boy’s hair.

CASTING INFORMATION

Sian
Late twenties to early thirties, bright, hopeful and eager to help, Sian is very much the instigator and defender of the evening’s event and is desperate for it to go well.

Revlon
Around the same age as Sian but could be younger. Revlon is smart, well groomed, well bred, trusting and clearly does not come from a Welsh working class mining community.

Marilyn
Mid-thirties, Marilyn is introverted, tense and fearful of change. Though outwardly simple she is very focussed.

Rona
Same age as Marilyn, Rona is fiery, foul-mouthed and indomitable. She finds strength in rage, rejects authority and is easily set alight.

Jean
Same age as Marilyn and Rona, Jean is stately, conservative and sociable. Though she hails from the same background as Marilyn and Rona, Jean is now the wife of a respected church minister and therefore regards herself as a pillar of the community.

The production will run from Tuesday 16th until Saturday 20th May 2023. UK
